Cricket is an accomplished Voice-Over Artist. She began voicing Mai in Avatar: The Last Airbender for 3 seasons on Nickelodeon, and her raspy voice can be heard on radio spots and commercials. Cricket voiced Tangier in Red Faction 2, Basil in Lost Planet and many more. Cricket got her Masters in Social Work in 2016 and currently works as Director of mental health for BLND Health where she helps people all over the US, and she can often be seen at Comic-Cons all over the US and Canada to connect to her many fans.

Cricket was born in Michigan, and raised in Chicago. There she studied with Byrne & Joyce Piven extensively, working at Theatres such as The Goodman: The Winter’s Tale, A Christmas Carol; The Chicago Lyric Opera: The Voyage of Edgar Allen Poe; Interplay Theatre: Les Liaisons Dangereuses …She then went on to NYU’s Stella Adler Conservatory, performing in: The Tempest, Titus Andronicus, & Durang’s Titanic.

After graduation, she was chosen to go to the Sundance Theatre Lab in Utah, performing as Thea under Michael Mayer in the Original Workshop Production of Spring Awakening…She then moved to Los Angeles and began studying with The Groundlings. She began writing, producing & performing her one-woman show Constantly Distracted, where she played eight characters based on growing up her Grannie’s basement in Battle Creek, MI. The show was sold out at all five mountings of it from 2004-2008 in LA. She then wrote and starred in a two-person show about real-life hippie-rock poster child Janis Joplin, called Confetti Bayou: The Last Interview of Janis Joplin, which premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Fest…In film, she starred in 2007’s Indie cult hit The Boys & Girls Guide To Getting Down, now streaming as well as many short films.

Tranquil Ashes is a multi-talented artist who has distinguished herself as a make-up artist, body painter, organizer, and cosplayer with sewing and armor building skills.

Tranquil brings a unique set of skills and experiences from growing up in Baltimore to spending several years in Japan. She is a champion of body-positivism, creator of brave geek spaces such as the CosGala, and all around magical muse.

Tranquil has been cosplaying for 6 years and in that time has been recognized by AfroPunk, Black Nerd Problems and Sy-Fy (panel at New York Comic Con). She also creates content for Quirktastic, and Nerds of Color. She was sponsored by Mehron Makeup to bring to life Corey the Manticore from Disney’s Pixar Onward, as well as Disney’s Encanto Project in 2022.
